BEINGBAR Introducing New Range of Ecotate™ Sunglasses

By Team BEINGBAR

This season we will introduce our newest range of Ecotate™ Sunglasses. These frames are made from natural, renewable resources. And even more than our existing range of products. This sustainable material is derived from cotton seeds and plant matter. this fits perfectly with our core principles of being the ultimate conscious and sustainable sunglasses. And for always raising the bar.

The evolution of Sustainable Eyewear

So, what exactly is Ecotate™? It’s the next evolution of bio-acetate. The different components of our exclusive Ecotate™ frames are biodegradable and recyclable. What sets Ecotate™ apart is that the colorants used are also non-chemical and natural based. So, you could argue that there is no other acetate eyewear (or any eyewear for that matter) that is more sustainable than this exclusive BEINGBAR® range of products.

Organic versus Mineral lenses

And beyond the frames, we use mineral glass lenses in this special range. What we call mineral lenses are made from a specific type of glass and it is sourced from natural elements like sand and soda ash compound. The most-used “standard” lenses that are used in spectacles and sunglasses are called “organic” because they are based on plastics. Plastics are oil-based which technically makes them organic (oil originates from plants and organic substances in the end). Mineral lenses are endlessly recyclable and environmentally friendly.
